Twin Falls Chamber Business Council

The Business Council offers support for programs and activities that benefit economic vitality of our community. Under the Business Council are:

Agribusiness Committee works to recognize the significant contribution that agriculture makes to our local economy. Annual activities include the Ag Tour, offered in June, and the Agriculture Appreciation and Scholarship Banquet held in the fall. Several $1000 scholarships are given each year to Idaho students who choose to pursue a degree in an agriculture-related field of study. 

Agribusiness Scholarship-Students must be a resident of the Twin Falls, Gooding, Jerome, Blaine, Camas, Minidoka, Cassia or Lincoln Counties. Applicants must be pursuing an agricultural degree at an Idaho institution. Scholarship application, essay and 2 letters of recommendation (one from a Teacher, Counselor or Principal) are due May 4, 2007 to the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce office, 858 Blue Lakes Blvd. N., Twin Falls, ID 83301.  Scholarship applications received after that date are not eligible. The committee will select the finalists and personal interviews will be held.  Students currently enrolled in College must use scholarship by December 2008. Economic Development Forum
roundtable luncheons are held each month. This is an opportunity to share economic development efforts in our region and to offer support across a variety of sectors to encourage a positive economy in the Twin Falls area.

Ready Team members include staff and board representation from the Chamber. The task team works cooperatively with other economic development organizations including the City of Twin Falls, Business Plus, and Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization, to support new business recruitment and local business expansion.

Greater Twin Falls Area Transportation Committee is an organization of government agencies, transportation-related industry, and interested parties who work together to support adequate transportation infrastructure in the Twin Falls area.
